Owning the Apple television will be on the Apple technophile's wish list long before it comes to market, if not already, and as long as the Android platform-run smart phones do not overtake the IPhone and/or Apple IPod Touch, the market for the all-inclusive Apple home entertainment system could be as huge as the Apple IPhone launch was.
The Remote App for the IPhone or IPod Touch is the top downloaded app from the IPhones Apps Store for the Apple smart phones, and is free to download. Designed by a third party, the Remote App is extremely popular amongst those that have the IPhone and an Apple laptop, Apple television set-top box, as well as an ITunes capable MP3 listening device. All Apple components can be synced and work together, which has your IPhone or IPod Touch turning your home into a smart home.
Apple television set? Yes, Apple has a set-top box at the moment that will turn your television into an Apple controlled television set, and, as of the latest news out of Steve Jobs' marketing team, Apple is to unveil a supposedly revolutionary television in late 2010 (think Christmas!), or early 2011.
